The Inside Story

I went back to The Inside Story to get a 3D/4D ultrasound when I was about 28 weeks. I should have known not to make my appointment in the middle of the day because she is NEVER awake during that time. Too bad they don't make appointments from 7 pm- 11 pm when she is most active!

I think this is one of my most favorite pictures of her. Most of the time during ultrasounds she has either her foot or her hand in her mouth. Here she was sucking on her foot and the ultrasound tech gave a little pressure and she popped her foot out of her mouth. When she snapped the shot she still had her lips drawn in and her cheeks all puffed up like she was still sucking. I just want to pinch and kiss all over those sweet cheeks.
Her Aunt Kalina LOVED this picture too!

Some people have asked if she has black hair. NO, she does not have black hair, that is just something reflecting or interferring with the ultrasound. Hopefully, by the time she makes her appearance she will have some hair...we have lots of cute bows to put to good use!

She was all snuggly! I tried to tell the ultrasound tech that she is typically sound asleep at 1:30 in the afternoon.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE :) One of the most amazing pictures I have seen.
Can't wait to hold that little hand!

Once again she was trying to put her thumb back in her mouth. To the right of her face is her foot.

The tech asked me to talk to her and see if I could get her to move for a few more pictures. So Brooklyn and I had a little talk while I went to the restroom. I told her "mommy just wanted ONE smile and I would leave her alone." It's a good thing she listens to her mommy so early in her life...I got the smile right off the bat! So I held up my end of the deal and let her go back to dreaming :)

I went to The Inside Story twice with this pregnancy, once for gender confirmation and then for the 3D/4D ultrasound. The first time I went they gave me a stack of paperwork to complete, I think I had it all completed and back to them in less than 30 seconds. I have gotten VERY good at filling out all those forms QUICK. I have done it many times in the last year. It is sad when you have the address to your insurance company memorized. Question 6 was "What is the mom's date of birth?" I answered "3/3/1956", like I have a million times before. After all, that is MY mom's date of birth. The lady at the window asked me if in fact I was 54 years old and I looked at her funny and said "Well, no, I am 31" It didn't take me long to realize I AM the mom now and they needed MY date of birth! That is a name that I will have to get used to being called. But it does have a nice ring to it!

Happiness is Family and Friends!

My family and friends hosted a Baby Shower for us today! The shower was held at my Granny Mom's Tea Room, right next door to her house. It was extra special because I have grown up in that same building. She had her flower & gift shop there for years before she retired in 1994. We spent many hours there watching her arrange fresh cut flowers and she always gave us our own vase and flowers to work right along side her. She just recently told me that she personally bought every arrangement! Who would have ever known ;) She was a very loyal customer of mine for a LONG time! I have some special pictures of me and Kalina growing up there that I will post soon. It is neat to see all that we have done within those four walls! Actually, I spent my last night as a single woman in that building, now that I think about it. I am pretty sure I shed a few tears that night as I went to sleep reminiscing about all the fun times I had there and all the fun times to come. It is what I call and consider HOME!  We still spend lots of time in the building during the holidays and family get togethers. In the last 6 years our family has out grown her living room! She also utilizes the building to host tea parties and special events. I can't wait to show Miss B around and introduce her to my toy box that I had as a child. It is patiently waiting there for her!

Enjoy the pictures from the shower!

Brittany, my assistant at my office, made the cutest pacificers out of lifesavers and jelly beans! Larra made all the cupcakes for the shower. And, YES, they were as delish as they look!

The fruit, dips, punch and sausage deviled eggs were so yummy!

(left) This is Kimberly, she is married to Trent's Uncle Stephen and on the far right is Staci, she is married to Trent's Uncle Greg. Staci was one of the fabulous hostess and was the photographer of the morning.

My granny moms got really close in one of the games. They had to tear off a streamer and get it to go all the way around my belly, without going over, to win!

Tina, my sister in law, had a BMW onsie made for Brooklyn. Her initials are BMW, Brooklyn Marie Wolfford. Still one of my favorite gifts!

Crystal bought a tutu for Miss B. I look at it every single morning! She is will have some of her newborn pictures taken and she will be "tutu" cute :)

Diana, my commercial assistant at the office, and her mom made Miss B a quilt. The found a picture of this quilt in a magazine and cut out their own pattern and then quilted it all by HAND! It was amazing!

Crystal and her mini-me, Crysta!

Elizabeth and Leah are on the far right. Leah is going to teach Brooklyn a thing or two I am sure. As long as she doesn't teach her to fart and burp (like her mother) we will be fine! No telling what kind of trouble those girls will get in to :)

WOW...this is just part of the nursery from the day we got home from the shower. I had to get it all up and organized because I was blessed with another shower by my church family the following afternoon! (those pics to come)

IT WAS A SPECIAL DAY AND I AM VERY BLESSED
TO HAVE SUCH AMAZING FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
